The Conestoga Youth Wrestling Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit youth wrestling organization dedicated to introducing local Kindergarden through 8th Grade students to the sport of wrestling. The focus of our program is to build self-discipline, sportsmanship, self-confidence and physical fitness. We participate in the Inter-County Wrestling League.
Welcome to the 2008 – 2009 Wrestling Season
Registration for the 2008-2009 season is now open. Click here for a copy of the registration form and follow the instructions on the form. Save $10 per wrestler if post-marked by 10-6-2008.
ICWL (Inter County Wrestling League) regular season meets occur every Saturday from January 10th through February 14th. Meets are typically an all-morning event. The ICWL also sponsors post-season Novice and Open Championship tournaments. There are various tournaments throughout the season that your child can participate in. You can enter your child in as many tournaments as you like. Keep in mind your child’s comfort and skill level, as some of these tournaments are more challenging than others. Our coaches will be available to help you to select the most appropriate tournaments for your child as the season progresses. Feel free to discuss the options with the CYWA coaches.
Practices will begin in November (TBD) and will be two nights per week. The wrestlers will be broken in to multiple practice groups depending on age, years of experience, weight and ability. These groups will practice in the auxiliary gym at Valley Forge or T/E Middle Schools (week nights to be determined). The practices typically run for an hour or hour-and-a-half depending on the group.

The 2007-2008 Season banquet was held on April 12, 2008, in the Conestoga High School Auditorium. The event was a huge success! Congratulations to Tim Langerhans who was the recipient of the 2007-2008 Pioneer Award. Thanks to all the parents and coaches for making the event such a great time.
